Well, waking up at the crack of dawn is never my favorite thing to do, but it’s always worth it. This wedding was no exception. Hot air balloons fly early in the cold morning, and so that was when the ceremony between Margo and Steve took place. It was a touching ceremony and then off into the skies for the ring exchange and pronouncement. I met up with them after the ride for some portraits and again that evening for a casual BBQ. What a sweet couple that are totally meant for each other!
After take-off, I handed one of my cameras to Ian Noyce, the pastor and a friend of mine too, since there was no room left for a photographer in the tiny basket. I trusted him and his photo skills so off they went. Obviously then, all of the photos from the air are Ian’s. Thanks for the second pair of eyes!
Congratulations to Margo and Steve and many happy years of happiness together!

Engagement sessions are great for many reasons. They give you images for Save-the-Date cards. You can display photos at your wedding. You and your photographer get a chance to have a “practice” session before the big show. Not to mention it’s a time where you can play and get creative. Another advantage is having images for a guest sign-in book. We now offer these great products and just put one together for Camber and JD’s wedding from their images. They are reasonably priced and give you a unique option to the traditional lined guest sign-in book. These books are designed with lots of white space so people can choose any blank spot to inscribe their best wishes. There is also the option to have a custom photo cover, or to foil-stamp text into the cover. Take a look!

Camber and JD are a fun, unique couple that win the prize for the most props brought to their engagement shoot! They rocked it with juggling, their classic van and dinner outdoors, guns, cowboy hats, scotch and wine, bubbles, and the best attitude to let go and have fun. These photos certainly show it! They officially tie the knot next week already at Moose Creek Ranch, and I can’t wait for their wedding. In the next post, I’ll show the awesome guest sign-in book we created from these images.
