Hello again, Film. I’ve missed you.

I’ve had this desire to shoot film again. I think it’s because most of my favorite photographers these days are shooting film. There’s a quality there you just can’t get with digital. Now, in no way am I going to stop shooting digital…that would be madness! I just want to start using both in different ways. I dug into the fridge to my ziplocs full of a random assortment of film and blew the dust off my 35mm, Hasselblad and Holga. TriX was the film of choice on these first shots. I’ll post some color soon.

My husband needed to pick up some landscaping equipment from his partner’s house the other day. They live just on the edge of town, had a sweet teepee in their front yard, a rooster crowing next door and a beautiful row of garments on the clothes line out back. First from the Hassy…

And the Holga…
For those of you not familiar with Holgas, they are plastic, inexpensive cameras that have only a few settings. They tend to have awesome light leaks and authentic vignetting. So fun to play with…everyone should get one.
