Here they are again! These two little guys are my awesome nephews, Matthew and Henry. I just spend three weeks with them, and I’m starting to see just how different they are. Matthew (top) continues to be a huge smiler, and cheeses it up for the camera ALL THE TIME! He’s cuddly and funny and likes to make awesome noises with his mouth and saliva. He’s incredibly strong and has been standing a lot on his own…but no official steps yet. He doesn’t complain too often…in fact, the only way they knew he had an ear infection recently was when the doctor looked in his ear. He just goes right along smiling. He loves his deedle (pacifier), while his brother has no use for one. That brings me to Henry. The poor little guy had an ear infection when we first arrived and so he wasn’t quite himself. You have to work to get a smile out sometimes, but when you do, watch out. He sparkles. His bright blue eyes are the first thing I see when I look at him; then my eyes drift downward to his often protruding bottom lip. Sometimes it makes him look downright unhappy, but it seems to have no correlation to his mood. He is a babbler. We think his first word is “kitty”. He’s a bit more clingy and loves to be held…constantly, whereas Matthew likes to get a hug now and again…and then go off and play. He’s a rockstar sleeper, hardly ever waking at night. He’s equally strong and both of these boys can put up a good fight on the changing table.
In short, I absolutely adore these boys and miss them every day. Here’s some shots from a shoot I subjected them to for their parent’s Christmas present.
