project 52 | week 1

I’ve been inspired. I’ve realized that too much of my photography is for other people, and I no longer shoot very much for myself. I was recently inspired by Jodi at MCP Actions to shoot one thing a week for myself, for the the sake of creativity! And I’m challenging myself to do so. I’m not sure what this is going to look like week to week. Hopefully I make all 52, but I’m not going to kick myself if I miss a week (hope you won’t either.)

The other morning, I woke early as usual and noticed the hoarfrost on the trees. I thought, “Wow, when that sun peaks over the mountain, it’s going to sparkle!” As I packed up the car to take the kids to their respective preschool/daycare, I threw my Hasselblad in the car. I did take a roll of black and white and now have to be patient to get those back. But the color was so beautiful, so when I got home, I decided to fire off some shots on my digital camera. I was inspired to put together this little montage.

We’ll have to wait and see what next week brings…
