Life has been so busy these last few years. Even busier than the few years before. I’m just holding my breath for the days that start to get less busy, or just a little easier. My photography business began to grow a lot the year I had my first child. Since then, I’ve had 2 more babies and an even busier schedule. It’s been a gradual process and one that I didn’t quite realize was overwhelming me until this summer. It’s the reason I had to make some big changes, like not shooting weekend weddings anymore. One of the things that gets neglected when I’m too busy shooting and being a mom is blogging, website updating, etc. There are so many shoots from the recent past that never got shown, so I’m going to attempt to remedy that during these slower months. I’m not waiting for Thursday, I’m starting my own Throw-back Today.
First up is Erin. I met Erin when she started working for my sons’ daycare. We began to hire her on evenings and weekends to babysit and she remains one of my kids’ favorite sitters. When she asked me to photograph her senior portrait, I was thrilled to do this for her. Erin is homeschooled and is funny and bright and just beautiful inside and out (as you’ll see here.) She had a lot of fun picking outfits and even scouted a great location where we ended up shooting! As this school year begins it’s downhill journey towards summer, I thought we best get her on the blog right away! And for all of you juniors out there, it’s not too early to think about getting your own session booked for this summer.
